Proxy DataEasy through your domain
Some ad blockers block third-party analytics scripts, which can hide 10–30% of your visitors on tech-savvy audiences. Serving the script and the events endpoint from your own domain avoids that.
What to proxy
| Your domain | Forward to |
|---|---|
/de/js/script.js | https://dataeasy.app/js/script.js |
/de/api/events | https://dataeasy.app/api/events |
Any prefix works (/de is just an example; avoid words like "analytics" or "tracking" that blockers look for). Then point the script tag at your proxy and tell it where to send events with data-api-url:
<script
defer
data-website-id="YOUR_WEBSITE_ID"
data-domain="yourdomain.com"
data-api-url="/de/api/events"
src="/de/js/script.js"
></script>Without
data-api-url, the script sends events to /api/events on the origin it was loaded from, which would hit your own app instead of the proxy.Keep the visitor's IP
Behind a proxy, DataEasy sees your server's IP. Forward the original one in X-Forwarded-For so IP exclusions keep working. Location (country, region, city) is detected from the request headers of the hosting edge, so check the Location card after setting up a proxy.
