Install the DataEasy script
Paste this snippet in the <head> of every page of your website. Replace the placeholders with the values from Website settings → General (your website id starts with deid_).
<script
defer
data-website-id="YOUR_WEBSITE_ID"
data-domain="yourdomain.com"
src="https://dataeasy.app/js/script.js"
></script>| Attribute | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
data-website-id | Yes | Identifies your website. The website UUID also works. |
data-domain | Recommended | Your root domain, without www. Cookies are set on it so subdomains share the same visitor. |
src | Yes | The script URL, or your own proxied URL. |
Check the installation
Open your website in a normal browser window, then open your DataEasy dashboard: the visit appears in the realtime counter within a few seconds, and the onboarding screen switches to "installed".
Nothing shows up? A few usual suspects:
- You are on
localhost: the script ignores local hosts unless you adddata-allow-localhost="true". - You opted out with
dataeasy_ignorein this browser (see Exclude your own visits). - The page is on a domain that doesn't match your website domain. Add it under Additional domains.
- An ad blocker or a Content-Security-Policy blocks the request. See Troubleshooting.
Add data-debug="true" to the script tag to log what the tracker does (and why it skips an event) in the browser console.
