Track conversion funnels
A funnel shows how many visitors go through a sequence of steps, and where they drop off. Typical example: landing page → pricing page → signup → payment.
Create a funnel
- Open your dashboard and go to the Funnel tab of the goals card.
- Give the funnel a name and add steps. Each step is either a page view (a path such as
/pricing) or a goal (such assignup). - Save. The funnel is computed for the selected period and filters.
Goal steps need the goal to be tracked first: see Track custom goals.
How it's counted
- Each step counts unique visitors who reached it after completing the previous steps, in order.
- The conversion between two steps is the share of visitors from the previous step who reached the next one.
- A step only counts if it happens after the previous one: someone who signs up and visits /pricing later doesn't complete a "pricing → signup" funnel.
You can rename, edit, deactivate or delete a funnel at any time; the data is computed from your events, so editing steps updates past periods as well.
